I was unaware of them....not having gone through 'therapy' from a professional perspective.

I WILL address a period of 'denial' in my personal life. It had to do with watching my first marriage go down the 'hole'.

I had all kinds of warnings from all sorts of directions, including phone calls from the wife—of 20 years and three children—of the man my wife left me for. And notices from the bank about how money was being shifted into accounts with her name only.

And yet I trusted her. I didn't realize how serious the situation was until I called home from a mission in Germany and had her tell me she was not going to be there when I got back. In fact, despite that blatantly obvious 'indicator', I broke down in tears in the airport terminal when my neighbor and friend was there to pick me up.

No THERE'S some kinda 'denial'. I believe it's the fifth form you address. The denial of factual information, e.g., 'reality'.

So these days, especially after my last tour of duty in the Army, wherein I learned to apply military intelligence techniques to every-day life, I look for 'indicators' and try to connect the proverbial 'dots'. All in an effort to avoid being blind-sided, as I was in 1983.

RE: On to Today's 'Reality'

Today, we see the Middle East in revolt against the heavy-handed dictatorships that have mismanaged it for the last 100 years, e.g., since the end of WWI.

The rising 'tide' is Islamic fundamentalist fascism. Bent on world domination. Heck. Even today, Iran released a video on their vision of our future....during the conquest.

How does this relate to the politics of our country?
Well.....

....please excuse my pointing out some 'denial' I've observed HERE and there, but....

....a LOT of people keep accusing President Obama as being a 'bumbler'. Inept in his management of the economy and foreign affairs.

To tell you the truth, I have to wonder how it is that such a 'bumbler' got into the Oval Office if he wasn't as much of a 'bumbler' that so many people like to think. Indeed, you have to be VERY smart to get into that office.

So, in order to get to the bottom of this, I ask:

Is President Obama mentally defective? An 'idiot'? Or is he rather 'smart'?

Next, if the answer is 'idiot', how did he get into the Oval Office?

Or, if he is 'smart', please explain away WHY all of his major decisions have been bad for US?

As military intelligence training at the Command and General Staff College taught me, you can understand what someone is up to if you pay attention to their deeds, as opposed to their words. It's a variation on the training known as Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB).

So....

....we have ALL THESE PEOPLE who think Obama is a 'bumbler'. And yet they refuse to even discuss the idea that he is NOT a 'bumbler' and he knows exactly what he is doing.

I suspect that this is an example of that fifth form of 'denial' you address.

Regards,
Chuck(le)
[The Truth will out....]Stuart Schneidermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12784043736879991769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-66082982028400606532011-03-28T15:06:48.306-07:002011-03-28T15:06:48.306-07:00P.S.
