The first part of it is difficult to read because it is so representative of the Obama administration and its actions. FDR after all of his, and his fellow travelers. progressive approaches drove the country into a second depression in the 1937 - 1939 time period only WWII saved the country in a more ways than can be listed here.
I can remember that any time one mentioned FDR my grandfather would go high order, and for a very religious man, swore a blue streak. I thought it strange, but after reading this book I understand and suspect many of us will be the same way when Obama's name is mentioned in the future. FDR abused the government and the office of president in much the same manner as Obama does today. Protected by a democrat majority that started to realize they might have a problem on their hands.
The same disastrous ideas pushed by the same kind of people who believed they were smarter, more educated and had the right to control other people.
The problem is that when people want change they NEVER ask themselves HOW and is that change going to be better than what existed before. One has to be interested in actually doing good as opposed to feeling good.
Again, how can anyone believe that making the vast majority of people slaves to the state is caring or compassionate? It just seems to be to be relieving one's self of personal responsibility by expecting the state to do what one should do themselves.Dennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14962996070458991675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-2861835844610115282013-12-14T13:49:33.038-08:002013-12-14T13:49:33.038-08:00They walked right in, eyes wide open, thinking &qu...They walked right in, eyes wide open, thinking "it can't happen to ME".Sam L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00996809377798862214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-27331411153897147812013-12-14T08:52:22.732-08:002013-12-14T08:52:22.732-08:00My hunch is that we're looking a fuel for a ro...My hunch is that we're looking a fuel for a robust underground barter economy.

Within their specialties, doctors and other caregivers will opt out of Obamacare and look after each other, plus anyone with a service to offer that they want. Ferinstance, the doctor needing a new roof on the house will have no trouble pairing up with a roofer in need of treatment for a troublesome gastrointestinal tract.

Where the connection is less direct, a multi-party transaction will set up. The doctor needs a roof, the roofer needs air conditioning, and the heating/ac contractor's wife needs treatment for her peripheral vascular disease.
Lastangonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-86418093920300755382013-12-14T08:20:49.521-08:002013-12-14T08:20:49.521-08:00Can some one tell me how we took the healthcare we...Can some one tell me how we took the healthcare we had in which 85 percent were satisfied, where only 15 percent either did not want or need it and a certain percentage of that number actually needed it to be addressed and then created this monstrosity? Instead of dealing with the 15 percent we decided to destroy healthcare for the other 85 percent and still have a significant number uninsured.
Is this a demonstration of the quality of thought that emanates from the people who are addressed in "Mugged by Obamacare?" Worse yet these are the very same people who elected the current mayor of NYC. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-11/manhattan-apartment-rents-drop-for-a-third-straight-month.htmlDennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14962996070458991675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-37271205826155522382013-12-14T07:22:51.074-08:002013-12-14T07:22:51.074-08:00It always gives me a laugh and some humor to see t...It always gives me a laugh and some humor to see the supposed "Best and Brightest,' by their definition, hoisted on their own petard. Are these not the people who calls the vast majority of the nation "fly over country?" Are not these that believe that if you live in the South, the Midwest, et al that you cannot be as intelligent as they think they are?
It would seem that if they used that believed rather large intelligence they would have been able to discern that the vast majority of their progressive ideas NEVER do well for anyone except those who lust for power. When is it compassion to make people slaves to the government and ensure that someone else pays or it? The idea of compassion is personal involvement not public rhetoric. It is the individual through their own actions that demonstrates compassion.Dennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14962996070458991675noreply@blogger.com
