Here's so...Parker might be very serious indeed. Here's something insightful C.W.Cooke wrote the other day about the dual-fronted effort to boost Hillary:

"The Left has astutely noticed and internalized something that the Right either has not or cannot: Before you can turn someone into a political icon, you must first turn her into a cultural icon."

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/355812/coming-hillarycult-charles-c-w-cooke

So, Parker may be working on the "cultural icon" side as groundwork for the political side. So we read about her having "empowered women as never before with just a few words". A preposterous statement, but no more so than the cultural aura that was carefully constructed around Obama... and look at how that has carried him.

It's true Hillary has few accomplishments, and many negatives, but who -- aside from a few conservatives -- remembers who Billy Dale was, or what happened to him when the Clintons needed to insulate themselves from criticism?

Perhaps Parker understands very well why there are two docudramas in the works about Hillary's life, and why, some years ago, Vogue gave her a huge photosmooch. Before there can be Hillary the President, there needs to be Hillary the Woman, Hillary the Mother, Hillary the Social Justice Fighter, etc... and Parker is doing her bit to help.

(It bears mentioning that Parker may be investing in what she hopes will be eight years of lucrative access to the Oval Office. The Clintons are legendary for their efforts to compensate their supporters and destroy their enemies. Perhaps Parker would like to be on the winning side of that divide. Even if she guesses wrong, is there any chance a McCain or a Romney-style GOP President would damage her in some way? Every liberal knows that a RINO always reaches across the aisle. There's never a downside to attacking Republicans, or siding with their political opponents.)

Lastangonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-14229667587792788652013-08-16T08:43:29.254-07:002013-08-16T08:43:29.254-07:00For the record and for what it's worth, I'...For the record and for what it's worth, I've never seen 24.Stuart Schneidermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12784043736879991769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-26106773596230177302013-08-16T08:15:00.740-07:002013-08-16T08:15:00.740-07:002 things; your recent history is eerily looking li...2 things; your recent history is eerily looking like the plot lines from 24!

We once "thought" that the earth was the center of the universe, that the earth was solid, that ulcers were caused by stress, etc. Woman has as much capabilities to inflict wanton destruction as man.Leo Gnoreply@blogger.com
