While female chauvinism addressed real, perceived, and created male chauvinism, it has meant a progressive setback for male-female relationships, human rights (e.g. abortion rites that deny human lives), women's agency (e.g. placing conception before choice), and due process (implying presumption of innocence and equality before the law). With social progress, civilized society has taken one step forward and two steps backward.

That said, we should instead acknowledge that men and women are equal and complementary, and proceed to recognize and act upon a conservation of principles (e.g. individual dignity, intrinsic value, equality before the law), not succumb to the ideological pursuit of progress (i.e. monotonic change).n.nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04252447117532342957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-81139908273010916362017-11-16T11:41:13.324-08:002017-11-16T11:41:13.324-08:00It's certainly PART of the problem. Do men and women get along any better now than they did in the past?

The divorce rate has dropped at least, if you're looking for a counter-indicator of your fears.
http://time.com/4575495/divorce-rate-nearly-40-year-low

If we're going to measure progress based on the end of all abuses of power, that perfectionism will always look like failure. Progress to me looks like men admitting their own bad behavior when called out, and it looks like we're getting closer.

But if the solution is to silence women, and keep them out of the public sphere, killing feminism definitely is the way to go.
Ares Olympushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09726811306826601686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-42360035661391209222017-11-16T05:55:06.756-08:002017-11-16T05:55:06.756-08:00Wrong place, see above.Wrong place, see above.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13642228725661059539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078379512095504946.post-55471707321735035622017-11-16T05:52:56.834-08:002017-11-16T05:52:56.834-08:00The "Obvious" is "Banal"?
