Many people believe that Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels counts as one of the best potential Republican presidential candidates. Last night, Daniels gave a speech at the conservative confab called CPAC. In offering the transcript on National Review online, Kathryn Lopez wrote that it was a cut above anything else at the meeting. I cannot vouch for the delivery, which I assume was less than charismatic, but the speech itself, upon reading, is one of the best substantive political speeches I have seen in quite a while.
