Cheers to John Cook of Gawker... who saw a year ago that Hillary Clinton was not using a government email account, who recognized the implications and who took the time to inform White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest:
So CIA Director Petraeus gets a misdemeanor for sharing information with his mistress, and we're told he got "a very good deal."
I am not excusing anything that Petraeus did, just noting the pursuit and prosecution.
We are told Senator Menendez did a favor for a friend and constituent regarding Medicare reimbursement, and this is "corruption" under the U.S. Constitution. How many Congressional leaders have come forward in (what would be understandable) rage about Congressional prerogatives and Executive encroachment?
I am not excusing what Sen. Menendez did or may not have done, just noting the pursuit and expected indictment.
And then we have the Secretary of the United States of America, Hillary Rodham Clinton, who blatantly violated very clear rules on not using a personal email address when operating in her official capacity and when engaging in SOS business on behalf of the country as a "public servant." Furthermore, there have been significant contributions from abroad to the Clinton Foundation. Worse (because we claim the coverup is worse than the crime), she kept the server for said private email account IN HER PRIVATE HOME, and it is not able to be immediately seized and examined by an independent auditor, and there is likely no paper trail for what might have happened to data that has disappeared (which she will be, of course, "unaware of").
I am not excusing what Mrs. Clinton did or may not have done, just noting the non-pursuit of law enforcement, with no expected indictment. Our President said he read about it in the newspapers.
The Clintons act as though they are above the law. As long as there are no consequences, they have reason to believe they are above the law. Again, it is interesting who the Obamas pursue, and who they don't. I find it highly suspect that no one knew about Mrs. Clinton's private email account. It was tolerated, and now she must've pissed somebody off.
The number and scope of federal laws is staggering, and the choices of who will and will not be prosecuted under them are politicized. Is that guy who produced that "disgusting internet video" that "caused" the Benghazi attack still in prison for violating parole? Case in point.
What difference does it make? Ummm... she's considered a "sure thing" to be the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States.
How about the undeniable: Hillary Rodham got an MRS. degree from Yale Law School. It's an advanced nuptial degree, for an advanced purpose. And she's cashing in.
Sort of like Hillary Clinton and Melinda Gates telling young women how to get ahead in the workplace without mentioning the fact that they did it the old fashion way by attaining a MRS degree. Where does one expect Hillary or Melinda would be without their Bills? The funny thing is that young women seem not to have considered the irony in these two women being the idea of women making it on their own.
This isn't really news.
ReplyDeleteThe Clintons are acting like themselves.
I am not looking forward to months and months of stories about the Clintons doing Clintonian things.
Sorry. That was me with the Clinton post above.
