Return to Rotherham

John Hinderaker offers the facts of the Rotherham atrocity without commentary. It speaks for itself:

You are probably familiar with the Rotherham scandal. Rotherham is a city in England where over a period of years, more than 1,400 girls, many of them pre-teens, were raped and trafficked by a loose consortium of men. The men were all Muslim immigrants or sons of immigrants, the girls were all, or nearly all, white. When the scandal finally came to light in 2014, city officials said that they had been reluctant to do anything about the problem for fear of being accused of racism.

Several criminal trials have resulted from the scandal. The third such trial has just been completed. Six defendants were convicted and sentenced to 10 to 20 years for rape and other crimes.

He continues, quoting the Sun’s report:

This is the most curious aspect of the news report:

There were emotional and chaotic scenes at Sheffield Crown Court after two of the defendants shouted “Allahu Akbar” as they were led from the dock.

What do you suppose they meant by that?

As their supporters began shouting down into the court, one of the victims shouted back “justice is served” as police moved into the public gallery.

They have supporters? Why?

My goodness, Mr. Hinderaker, open your eyes!

1,400 girls is a lot of girls. This was a large-scale, coordinated rape and human trafficking operation.

Why do you think they have supporters?

The better question is: Do they do this to their own women and girls? If they do not do this to their own, what then does this say about how they view white girls?

These questions may be unsettling, but they must be answered.

My suspicion is that these men do not view themselves as immigrants. True immigrants seek to belong and make a life in their adopted land. After all, no one made these people move to England. They chose to come. So if they're not immigrants, they are invaders. Invading armies followed custom for human history: the victors go the spoils -- including women and girls. That's the mindset of a conquering army.

    Time to wake up.

    1. Aha! I went back to the source article and can now see what you're saying. I didn't capture that Fromm your extracted quotes.

So while I would t direct my questions to Mr. Hinderaker, we all know there are people looking the other way. And I stand by my comments about the conquering army.

  3. The Disappeared, a novel by British philosopher Roger Scruton, is a powerful account of the social and political forces playing out in contemporary British policing and Muslim communities. I unreservedly recommend it.
