Heck, we had Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s protégé in the White
House for eight years, so why shouldn’t we have Rev. Louis Farrakhan’s protégé as
deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee?
From the Powerline blog:
And they think that Donald Trump is anti-Semitic?
As you see, Farrakhan protégé Rep. Keith Ellison has now proclaimed his support for the Antifa movement. You know about Antifa, a band of Brown Shirted
thugs who indulge in all manner of dramatic street violence to shut down anyone
they consider to be right wing.
Anyway, it’s the face of today’s Democratic Party. And yet,
if you point it out you will be denounced by Newsweek—of all magazines—for being
Islamophobic. In a nation where Jeremiah Wright’s protégé refused to name
radical Islam as his enemy, people took up the fight against the one enemy that
Barack Obama did recognize: American bigotry.
And you were wondering why the nation is divided against
itself?
"[Keith Ellison and antifa are] the face of today’s Democratic Party."
ReplyDeleteExcellent news, indeed.
Antifa seems to be the Democrats ideological future. No judgment, of course.
ReplyDeleteWell, Antifa and BLM. Couldn't happen to a nicer Party!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if AO voted for Keith Ellison, with all the rambling screeds and antisemitism.
ReplyDeleteSure Anon! Hey, that's my congressman! I'm sorry, is antifa anti-semetic? Do they have a public position on the Jewish people?
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like movements like this do attract individuals interested in aggression, but in the very least it would seem that leadership is about helping to redirect violent individuals into more civilized ways of acting, and that starts by trying to understand the ideologies behind a movement, as well as the ideology they claim to be opposing. And Carl Jung among others warned us when we confront the evil of others, we also have a chance to face something in our own shadow that we don't want to look at.
Here's a short review of the book:
https://www.mhpbooks.com/books/antifa/
Historian and former Occupy Wall Street organizer Mark Bray provides a detailed survey of the full history of anti-fascism from its origins to the present day — the first transnational history of postwar anti-fascism in English. Based on interviews with anti-fascists from around the world, Antifa details the tactics of the movement and the philosophy behind it, offering insight into the growing but little-understood resistance fighting back against fascism in all its guises.
I can see it is in the interest of power to delegitimize any movement that threats existing power structures. Anyway, I see no need to judge every group as all good or all bad. That's call splitting and its what we do when we're not in control of ourselves.
I admit I'll worry more about Antifa when they start driving cars into crowds of people, or strapping bombs to themselves.
Here's a small statement. It looks like Ellison should stop acting like Trump, and read a book before he visually endorses them in picture and quote. Politicians should be more careful what they endorse - You never know if you might accidentally be propagating neo-nazi race-baiting fake murder rate propaganda or whatever.

Spokesman Karthik Ganapathy says Ellison has not read the book but has espoused nonviolence throughout his career.
Still, I'd like to better understand exactly what sorts of violence this book supposedly endorses. Hopefully Ellison will now read it and tell us, or has his spokesman or another staffer can read it for him and gives him an executive summary to share as sound bites.
Radical Farrakhan-nists and Free-Palestine bigots:
ReplyDeleteDo Brown Black Lives matter...if they're Israelis?
BLACK, BROWN, WHITE, YELLOW ISRAELIS
Since color has become a language somehow, and anti-Israel bigots distort, then let's remind facts, most Israelis are "brown," in terms of stats. You have also many Ethiopian Jews.
No wonder the propagandists will never show democratic multiracial Israel in day to day lives.
Or elaborate on anti-black racism in the Goliath Arab world. Though all non Arabs have been through racism in that world.
SECURITY VS RACISTS
But of course Israeli security concerns are just that. Unrelated to any "color" or "race." Actually, speaking of racism, yes, Arab Muslim attackers target only Jews. Talk about real racism.
BACKGROUND ON HIJACKING TERMINOLOGY
True, hijacking of term 'it's racism," is as old as Palestine propaganda emerged by holocaust denier Issa Nakhleh who began in June-17-1949 the "like the Nazis and worse than nazis" line (and by Nov-14-1972 said all 6,000,000 were alive and Hitler "didn't" kill, and represented 'Muslim Congress' at Holocaust deniers convention in 1981), then picked up in 1960 by Nazi Tacuara saluter Ahmad Shukairy who by Oct-17-1961 added that garbage-touch apartheid slur too and questioned Catholic Uruguayan rep. Enrique Fabregat's loyalty, stating because he's (supposedly) a Jew. And both, of course were Hitler's ally ex-mufti Islamic leader al-Husseini avid fans. With Shukairy his aide.
Speaking of ex Mufti's admirers... Sufi Abdul Hamid, infamous 'Black Hitler' in NY who called to drive out Italians and Jews in the 1929-30, was also his admirer.
RE FARAKHANNISTS & FAKE "PRO-"
One might begin to argue there is such a thing as "pro Palestine", (only) when Farrakhan linked Ilhan Omar / Linda Sarsour / Rashida Tlaib will have a routine of decrying Arab Muslim suffering when it's not in context of Israel (who has been facing existential threat ever since) but suffering when by Arab Muslim entities. One would then hear about a real en-masse massacre. Such as hundreds of thousands in Syria, current example. And if they begin to do anything along the line, then no lip service please. But with that same "passion" as in fake "sympathy" played at the 'other' case.
The absentee reason is clear. Self explanatory. Because pro Palestine is a cover for anti Israel and often anti ALL Jews.
A note re L Farrakhan, that guy with his "blue eyes are the devil," when he uttered his "termites" venom, his genocidal hint was clear under the veil.
