No one is paying much attention to this, so it is worth some emphasis. Given today’s toxic political climate Republicans have been subjected to harassment, intimidation and violent assault. Naturally, the mainstream media does not much care and only gives these incidents cursory attention.
Today, CNN has printed an open letter from Kelley Paul, aka Mrs. Rand Paul, to Sen. Cory Booker. You know that Booker is a loudmouthed fool. Yet, in calling for his supporters to get in the face of “Congresspeople” Booker is helping to foment violence against Republicans. He is not alone, but it is good that Mrs. Paul has called Booker out on his dereliction.
Herewith, the substance of Kelley Paul’s letter. It is harrowing and thoroughly unacceptable. Regrettably, we have gotten to the point where members of Congress get a pass for promoting violence against those who hold different opinions:
It's nine o'clock at night, and as I watch out the window, a sheriff's car slowly drives past my home. I am grateful that they have offered to do extra patrols, as someone just posted our home address, and Rand's cell number, on the internet -- all part of a broader effort to intimidate and threaten Republican members of Congress and their families. I now keep a loaded gun by my bed. Our security systems have had to be expanded. I have never felt this way in my life.
In the last 18 months, our family has experienced violence and threats of violence at a horrifying level. I will never forget the morning of the shooting at the congressional baseball practice, the pure relief and gratitude that flooded me when I realized that Rand was okay.
Amazingly, Democratic politicians and media types were happy to see Rand Paul get assaulted. They are moral degenerates of the first order:
He was not okay last November, when a violent and unstable man attacked him from behind while he was working in our yard, breaking six ribs and leaving him with lung damage and multiple bouts of pneumonia. Kentucky's secretary of state, Alison Lundergan Grimes, recently joked about it in a speech. MSNBC commentator Kasie Hunt laughingly said on air that Rand's assault was one of her "favorite stories." Cher, Bette Midler, and others have lauded his attacker on Twitter. I hope that these women never have to watch someone they love struggle to move or even breathe for months on end.
Finally, she addresses Booker directly:
Earlier this week, Rand was besieged in the airport by activists "getting up in his face," as you, Senator Booker, encouraged them to do a few months ago. Preventing someone from moving forward, thrusting your middle finger in their face, screaming vitriol -- is this the way to express concern or enact change? Or does it only incite unstable people to violence, making them feel that assaulting a person is somehow politically justifiable?
We await the Booker reply. For now, the silence is deafening.
I'm delighted that Rep Jackson-Lee's intern was fired and arrested for doxxing Republican Senators. I wonder, though, why Rep Jackson-Lee hasn't been forcibly removed from office. After all, she is named for, not one, but two, Confederate generals.
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent point Dr. Dreg
DeleteMany (or so it seems) Democrats have gone feral, or rabid.
ReplyDeleteDems will stop at nothing, or have someone who WILL NOT stop at anything.
ReplyDeleteAt Instapundit: "Staffer who ‘doxxed’ GOP senators faces nearly 50 years in federal prison." https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/staffer-who-doxed-republican-senators-faces-nearly-50-years-in-federal-prison
ReplyDeleteConsider:
ReplyDeleteIt was said at the outset — at the very beginning of this fiasco — that Christine Blasey Ford was credible because (a) there were notes from a therapy session that she was sexually assaulted in high school, and (b) she’d taken a polygraph examination.
That was the core of her story and the signal flare for her credibility. And everyone wanted to know more. Cue the media feeding frenzy.
Except that she never turned over the therapist notes or polygraph results. Nothing. Nada.
Then we were told that Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, PJ Smith, Christine Blasey (now Ford) and Leland Ingham (now Keyser) were at a party together where this assault allegedly took place.
Except that Leland Keyser states (through her attorney) that she doesn’t know Kavanaugh, and much of anything else about the party in question. She is clear about this. These are not veiled “I don’t recall...” type responses. Keyser says she “believes” Ford’s account, but “has no recollection of the incident in question.”
All four people have no idea what Ford is talking about.
When you really look at this, Ford’s friend Leland Ingram Keyser is the real heroine here. If she had corroborated Ford’s account, that would’ve stopped Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Keyser told the FBI that former FBI agent Monica McLean — a close friend of Ford’s — tried to pressure her to change her statement. Think about that, and how razor-close all this was.
The political hit job failed.
I believe this was all hatched by Ford and her friend Monica McLean during Ford’s July visit to McLean’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It was a carefully constructed lie — and turned into a massive psy-op by the “resistance.” They attempted to buy time to get their story straight, including concocting this bogus story that Ford is afraid of flying, and making her voice in this fawning victim tone. Her lawyers were a fiormer DOJ/FBiI insider (Bromwich) and a Democrat operative (Katz). And McLean’s attorney is David Laufman, formerly an attorney at the DOJ who was overseeing the Russia probe, and abruptly resigned in February when his name was mentioned in the Strzok-Page texts.
That’s “her truth” that’s so captivated the Democrats and their allies. That’s why she is so “believable.’
They will stop at nothing.
And... this all seems similar to how the whole Russia, Russia, Russia narrative was constructed with the Trump Dossier. I suspect this kinds of trickery has been going in for some time and involves Democrat politicians, their staffs, senior figures permanent bureaucracy (DOJ and FBI especially), intelligence figures (and associated academics), and mainstream media reporters/editors. It’s a carefully coordinated conspiracy to undo the results of the 2016 election. Christine Blasey Ford is the latest installment in this sordid tale.
ReplyDeleteThat’s fomenting real political violence. I am praying this will all backfire on the Democrats in November.
