And a Pompous Little Twit Shall Lead Them

She’s the reductio ad absurdum of identity politics. An imbecile from the Bronx gets herself elected to Congress and instantly becomes the new face of the Democratic Party. If Donald Trump had engineered it himself, he could not have done a better job.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez knows nothing. Yet, she presumably has XX chromosomes and is a woman of color… that is, her heritage is Puerto Rican. Put it all together and it does not amount to a qualification for any job beyond that of bartendress in New York, but, in today’s crazy world, it makes her an authoritative voice on climate change, and of course, anti-Semitism.

As the Democratic Party, led by Rep. Ilhan Omar is working to corner the market in anti-Semitism, Omar can count on the imbecile from the Bronx to have her back. When Omar attacks American Jews for their dual loyalty, AOC rushes to defend her… on the grounds that we have a right to criticize American foreign policy. The hue and cry of the new anti-Semitism has been so loud that even Jewish Democrats have noticed. And now Nancy Pelosi feels compelled to introduce a Congressional resolution against anti-Semitism. If her own party were not being turned into the epicenter of American anti-Semitism, she would not have had to do so.

For the party that embraces Rev. Louis Farrakhan and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, it’s too little, too late. And for the party whose leading imbecile, one AOC, has openly embraced British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbin, its way too little, way too late. After all, Corbin is facing defections within his own party for his support of Hamas and Hezbollah. Besides, he openly memorialized the Palestinian terrorists who murdered Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Hint to Nancy, a mere resolution will not suffice to cleanse your party of the stench.

As though that is not bad enough, Patrick Moore, the founder of Greenpeace, an environmentalist to his marrow, has examined AOC’s Green New Deal and his declared her to be a “pompous little twit” who has no idea what she is talking about. I trust you weren’t shocked. The basis for identity politics lies in the notion that your membership in a victim group qualifies you to opine authoritatively about anything whatever, and that no member of an oppressor group has any right to question your views.

See Gateway Pundit, via Maggie’s Farm. See also this report from Fox News and Moore’s own essay about environmentalist hysteria.

So, after reading the Green New Deal, Moore tweeted:

Pompous little twit. You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get the food into the cities. Horses? If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death.

Of course, AOC declared herself to be “in charge.” And she claimed that anyone who does not have an alternative plan to address the pseudo-crisis is “shouting from the cheap seats.”

You might ask yourself  who put AOC in charge of a major American political party. It’s almost too depressing to contemplate. At the least, no one will ever again be tempted to say that the Democratic Party is the party of intelligent people.

Anyway, the debate was not over. Moore responded, via Tweet:

You are delusional if you think fossil fuels will end any time soon, maybe in 500 yrs. AOC’s attitude is unjustifiably condescending. She is a neophyte pretending to be wise. Her kind bring ruination if allowed to be “in charge”. (from the cheap seats).

Keep in mind that Venezuela put a bus driver in charge of the country. How is that one working out? Do you think that a bartendress would be any better?

When AOC called climate change our World War II—why leave any doubt about your stupidity-- Moore responded:

Isn't @AOC a bit young to talk about WW2? It was Hell & more than 60 million died. It's her @GND that would be worse than WW2. Imagine no fuel for cars, trucks, tractors, combines, harvesters, power-plants, ships, aircraft, etc. Transport of people & goods would grind to a halt.

He continued:

I suspect @AOC is a flash in the pan. Her @GND is so completely crazy it is bound to be rejected in the end. But she does have wind in her sales [sic] due to the political situation. 2020 will be even more interesting now.

As for AOC, she may know nothing, but she won’t back down. Now she is claiming that the GND will help us to develop new technologies and will put lots of people to work. Does she remember Solyndra… or was she too young to know what was going on at the time.

So, there you have it, today’s new Democratic Party, with a pompous little twit in charge.

  1. We should pay attention and be very afraid of her. Do not underestimate her and her influence

  2. Agree, Whitney. The intersectional tavern wench is operating from a safe seat in the redistricted (2011), 50% Latina/o 14th District. Seniority is baked in the cake.

  3. She sounds like nearly every university professor under 60, and look what those lunatics did to our great institutions of education. They wiped wisdom right off the syllabus. There is still a lot of damage to be done to this nation, and she is young. They still have the military to hollow out, and all those home-schoolers to shut down. Leftism never sleeps.

  4. The irony of AOC representing the Bronx and holding those views is astounding. Where once over 500,000 Jews lived (me being one of them growing up there), today there are fewer than 75,000--and hardly any in her district.

But that is today's Dem party, and they know it.

  5. I heard on the news tonight that the Congress is having trouble, with a lot of in-fighting going on, over how to write a resolution condemning anti-semitism. As of the last bulletin, not only will it fail to censure Omar by name but there's talk of making it an omnibus resolution, simultaneously condemning anti-Muslimism. In which case, I guess, any attack on Omar's anti-semitism can be forbidden as anti-Muslim. Oh, the perils of identity politics.
