Among her appalling contributions to American political life, Rep. Rashida Tlaib is a proponent of the Palestinian cause. Everyone with an ounce of sense knows that it’s a lost cause. Everyone who can think his way out of a paper bag understands that Palestinian leadership has destroyed its people in a quest to destroy Israel and to kill as many Jews as possible. Having been a close ally of the real Adolph Hitler, Palestinian leadership has worked long and hard to continue to fulfill the final solution.
It’s about ancestral spirits, the claim to land that had been Israeli since the time of Moses, and the shame that attends those who watched Jews build a great modern state on land that Palestinian Arabs had turned into a third world backwater. When Jews succeeded where Palestinians failed, the shame was too much to bear. Given the choice between building a great state themselves and destroying what others had built, Palestinian leaders chose the latter. It was a disastrous decision. Disastrous first for Palestinians, who appear to want to martyr themselves for their lost cause. It did not reduce the shame, but redoubled it.
Next to the state of Israel, the only thing that Palestinians have contributed to world history is… Islamist terrorism. Aside from the fact that it is yet another loser’s strategy, it damages reputations. Would you want to do business with people who promote terrorism? Would you want to do business with people who are more concerned with destroying than with building? Would you want to hire anyone who professed sympathy for Rep. Tlaib or her fellow members of the gang of four. Amazon didn't. Would you?
Keep in mind, the antics of these fools is damaging the reputations of all those who associate with them, beginning with those who voted them into office. You cannot pass a law or run a protest march and restore a damaged reputation.
Obviously, Palestinian activists in the Middle East do not care about their reputation or the reputation of Muslims. And yet, many Muslim nations now do. After Donald Trump’s 2017 visit to Saudi Arabia, the Saudis convened another international conference, bringing together Muslim Arabs who cared about restoring the good name of Islam.
I have noted on occasion, following suggestions by Israeli prime minister Netanyahu, that relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors have never been as good as they are now. I have noted that Saudi Arabia and its allies are far less willing to continue funding Palestinian terror operations. Today, Iran has become the most staunch supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah, using money provided by the Obama administration.
Given the sensitivities of the region, and given the amount of anti-Semitic propaganda that Arab countries have traditionally fed their peoples, these countries have preferred indirect and symbolic contacts with Israel. One exception was the Omani government receiving Netanyahu in person in Oman.
Anyway, a few days ago, a group of Arabs traveled to Israel at the invitation of the Israeli government. Such meetings had happened in the past. They do not include high ranking government officials. What was new this time was the fact that Saudi Arabia and Iraq both sent representatives. The Saudis sent a blogger by name of Mohammed Saud.
When said blogger went to visit the al Aqsa mosque, Palestinians showed what they were really made of. They spat on him and pelted him with chairs and insults. The Daily Mail has the story.
Israeli government officials have today condemned Palestinians who hurled abuse and chairs at a Saudi blogger visiting Jerusalem as a guest of the Jewish state.
The Saudi visitor, named by Israeli public radio as Mohammed Saud, was one of six invitees from Arab states brought to Israel by its foreign ministry to give them fresh viewpoints on the country.
Video posted online showed mainly young Palestinians spitting, cursing and throwing plastic chairs at Saud as he walked on Monday through the Old City of Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem.
The spitting and abuse continued as he toured the Al-Aqsa mosque complex.
'Go and pray with the Jews,' one man shouted. 'What are you doing here?'
Hamas spoke for the Palestinians:
But the Islamist group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, said all Arabs and Muslims should boycott the Israelis in solidarity with the Palestinians.
'Hamas considers the visit of an Arab media delegation to the Israeli occupation a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and a dangerous sign of accelerating normalisation with the Israeli occupation,' it said in a statement.
In a sense the Palestinians understood what it all meant. It meant that the war is over and that they lost. I said as much some time ago. I do not need to tell you that the presence of a Saudi blogger must have been approved by his nation's highest authorities.
The visit comes as Israel seeks to improve ties with Gulf Arab countries, with which it has no formal diplomatic relations.
Those states have held off offering Israel formal recognition due to its continuing occupation of Palestinian territory, but relations have warmed of late, largely due to common concerns over Iran.
The journalists were to visit Jerusalem's Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, parliament and holy sites, among others, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The aim was to expose journalists 'some of whom come from countries that do not have diplomatic relations with Israel - to Israeli positions on diplomatic and geopolitical issues,' it added.
Jordan, one of only two Arab countries along with Egypt that have diplomatic relations with Israel, was also participating.
The Palestinian cause is a lost cause. Only the mental challenged and the fanatical true believers have missed the point.
Paraphrasing, IIRC, Richard Dawkins, there are more Jewish scientific Nobel Laureates in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv than in the entire Islamic world. An Egyptian professor, Dr. 'Abd Al-Baset Sayyid, claims that the Ka'aba emits "infinite radiation", Mecca is a "zero magnetism zone", and this was all proved by Neil Armstrong and covered up by NASA.
ReplyDeleteGive the Jews a pile of rocks and they'll turn it into a city. Give the Paleostinians a city and they'll turn it into a pile of rocks.
As I've said before (I forget where and when I first heard it), the Palis never miss a chance to miss a chance. Their hate has driven them mad.
ReplyDeleteThe term "Islamic terrorism" is unfair to all those Palestinian terrorists who were Christian, like George Habash. It is rather amusing to think that if he were around today his fellow Palestinian terrorists would probably make short work of him for being Christian.
ReplyDeleteBTW it was Abba Eban, Israel's Foreign Minister during the Nixon years who first used the phrase, the Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
Thanks, Bob!
