Speaking of violence and speaking of the totalitarian effort to clamp down on speech that the radical left does not know how to answer, we have this, from the normally estimable Bess Levin, regarding the Trumps.
According to Levin, who has apparently metamorphosed from savvy commentator into lame propagandist, the violent rhetoric coming from Donald Trump-- which most concerns his disagreements about the 2020 election returns-- was likely to foment violence.
Levin explained that filmmaker Alex Holder had interviewed Eric Trump, who had pooh-poohed the notion that Trump’s contentions-- always qualified as lies, you will see-- would lead to violence:
Elsewhere, in a recent interview with The Independent, Holder said that the Trumps, and especially Eric Trump, were unconcerned about the idea that the violent rhetoric and lies the 45th president fed his supporters would lead them to violence.
Levin should have known better. And she certainly should have used her head for a better purpose than showing off her hair do. In truth, you might not have noticed, but the American left, beginning with celebrity activists and promoted by the media and by the Democratic Party, showed President Trump nothing but violence, contempt, harassment and constant assaults.
Investigations, impeachments, constant attacks on Trump and his spokespeople-- at a time when the left insisted that Trump was not a legitimate president and did everything in its power to remove him from office or to prevent him from functioning on the job-- this seditious rhetoric, rhetoric not merely directed against Trump himself but against the president of the United States, surely contributed mightily to the wave of violence that overtook the nation in the aftermath of the George Floyd murder.
The attacks against Trump were the script that the rioters, looters and murders were following.
So, yes, violent rhetoric does lead to violent actions, and the violence only gets worse when the criminal bands who have rendered America’s major cities barely habitable, receive the wholehearted and full- throated support of Democrats and minority group leaders.
So, violent rhetoric can lead to violence. The problem is, no Democrat dares say that the George Floyd riots and the ensuing crime wave was violent. They all pompously and dishonestly declared that it was just everyday protest.
Speaking of violent rhetoric, how about the Women’s March. Before Trump had done anything in office, a band of women, adorned in what they called pussy hats, led by notable anti-Semites marched on Washington.
And one Madonna, whose knowledge of politics could not fit on the head of a pin, declared her violent intentions. Dare we say that no one called her out on it. No one from the left denounced her:
Madonna, who supported Hillary Clinton during the campaign, was one of a number of celebrities on Saturday who spoke out as part of Women’s Marches in cities across the world.
But of those high-profile speeches, Madonna’s was particularly confrontational. She said that the march represented the beginning of a “revolution” and affirmed that “we will not back down.”
“And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything: F–k you. F–k you,” she said. “It is the beginning of much-needed change.”
Madonna also said she was “angry” and “outraged” in the wake of Trump’s inauguration.
“Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House,” Madonna said. “But I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair.”
And then there is idiot columnist Jennifer Rubin, of the Washington Post. She called for no less than a Holocaust and a Final Solution for the Republican problem:
It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose. We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them because if there are survivors, if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again.
Of course, the left’s violent rhetoric flowered in the aftermath of a certain Supreme Court decision. Leftist women, especially of the feminist bent, went full Storm Trooper. No longer did they even pretend to be capable of engaging in deliberative debate. They wanted to take to the streets, to harass Supreme Court justices at their homes-- which was against federal law-- and to express their anger. Because, in a therapy culture, the only thing that matters is expressing your feelings. Dare we mention that the Biden Justice Department has refused to enforce the laws against protesting outside of a Supreme Court Justice's home. And dare we mention, that attempting to threaten and intimidate a justice in order to get your way is fascistic. It is certainly not democratic.
The notably pathetic Samantha Bee said this:
We have to raise hell in our cities, in Washington, in every restaurant Justice Alito eats at for the rest of his life. Because if Republicans have made our lives hell, it’s time to return the favor.
Another flamer, by name of Jill Filipovic, indulged some violent rhetoric of her own. She was calling for the Supreme Court or for anyone who supported it, to be snuffed out. That is, to be murdered. I trust you know what a snuff film is. We also recall that a man was arrested for wanting to murder Justice Kavanaugh.
Filipovic wrote:
[T]he US Supreme Court should officially be understood — a tool of minority rule over the majority, and as part of a far-right ideological and authoritarian takeover that must be snuffed out if we want American democracy to survive.
They may have donned pussy hats, but these women want you to think that they are strong and empowered. They can rant with the best of them and are happy to foment violence. We are calling it the violence of the lambs.
In so doing they are following the example set by Senate majority leader, Schumer, who threatened Supreme Court justices with violent reprisals. He did so from the steps of the Supreme Court:
I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.
No more debates-- threats.
And, just in case you thought I was kidding when I pointed out that these politicians had adopted Nazi tactics, it was only yesterday or the day before that the lead singer of a band called Coldplay, during a concert on Chicago, dedicated a song to the notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Not so strangely, nobody noticed.
And of course, the Democratic Party is home to a band that supports violence against Jews and especially against Israelis.
And let’s not forget the Squad, a band of idiot Democratic Congresspeople who are notable for their anti-Semitism.
While you were not noticing, they introduced a resolution calling on the federal government to pronounce the founding of the state of Israel as “Nakba” which means catastrophe.

The resolution calls on the United States to “commemorate the Nakba through official recognition and remembrance” while claiming that the word also refers to “an ongoing process of Israel’s expropriation of Palestinian land and its dispossession of the Palestinian people that continues to this day through the establishment and expansion of approximately 300 illegal settlements and outposts in the occupied Palestinian West Bank in which approximately 674,000 Israelis reside as of 2020.”
So, violent rhetoric leading to violence. As Confucius said, when you resort to violence, that means, you have lost the debate.
The left is no stranger to such actions. For now, however, it has its knickers in a collective twist over the events of January 6. It is covering up its own complicity in stoking violence than shifting the blame.
I believe the approved descriptor for the George Floyd riots is "mostly peaceful".

I read your blog everyday (pretty much) ...I'm old, I remember history...I was taught America's history in school. I have several opinions about how America got into the situation we live in today...I won't go into those right now. But my basic belief is this: Tonight on #BretBaier #FoxNews he had his usual segment "Around America"..sorry don't think it's called that but basically he filled that segment with news from NYork and the LA, California...I laughed!! Since when is America just the 2 coasts? Just wait until Nov. 2022...that's when the so called "Flyover America" which no one acknowledges will speak out!!

Floyd wasn't murdered, he overdosed on Fentanyl when he saw the police coming to arrest him.
