Girl Power in Action

In Iran women are leading a rebellion against the misogynistic mullahs. We will see how this turns out, but we wish them godspeed.

One notes, with some chagrin, that the appalling behavior of the mullahs, murdering and mutilating female protesters, has not registered for the Biden administration. Senile old Joe still wants to revive the Iran nuclear deal, because it’s time to return to the bad old days of Obama. Surely, Biden's mentor was anything but a champion of women's rights. About that our own feminists had nothing to say.

You recall that Obama wanted to give the Iranians access to nuclear weapons because they promised to use them in Tel Aviv. And you will also recall that Obama was happy to finance the mullahs in Iran, and Hamas and Hezbollah. Through his inept secretary of state, the dowager duchess of Chappaqua, Obama also gave his blessing to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt-- a misogynistic, homophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-American outfit if there ever was one.

Moreover, since Biden seemed hellbent on undoing as much of Donald Trump’s Abraham Accords as he could, he stopped arms shipments to the UAE, removed the Iran-backed Houthi rebels from the terrorist watch list, and reopened negotiations with Iran. To top it off he denounced the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as a murderer.

So, when the time came for the Biden administration to grovel before the Saudis, and to ask them pretty-please, to pump more petroleum, the better to help Democratic election prospects, the answer was a resounding No. They would pump less. And, when the Biden people chose to threaten the Saudis, the latter group exposed the Biden effort to be politically self-serving.

When it comes to foreign policy ineptitude, the Biden team has earned its spurs.

Back in the New York Post, another feminist, by name of Iulia-Sabina Joja proclaims the wonder of seeing so many women leaders in Western Europe standing up to Vladimir Putin. Let’s see, Russia is currently reducing Ukraine to rubble; it is destroying infrastructure at a frightening pace, and preparing for a very cold winter. And the cold winter will not be limited to Ukraine. The best that Western feminists can say is that at least Western Europe is being led by strong women.

Across Europe, it’s women who are transcending political and geographic boundaries to call for an end to Russia’s brutal aggression.

Of course, this is consummately dumb. Just as the dummies were off the mark when they started thrilling to the decisive Biden actions in Ukraine-- most of which consisted in wasting vast amounts of money in a lost cause, the better to show how tough Biden was-- they are also off the mark when they believe that the Ukraine war is a triumph of girl power.

The truth is, and I regret having to say this again, but without all of these strong empowered women leaders and without the leadership of our senile demented president and his idiot vice president, there would not have been an invasion.

Say what you want about Donald Trump, but on his watch Vladimir Putin was not destroying a neighboring country, was not engaging in a hostile military action.

The strong empowered women thing is a meme. It is also a bluff. Now, Vladimir called the bluff and many people are going to die, while a country is being destroyed.
