Don't Go With Your Gut

As you may know, I have expressed serious reservations about the notion that you should be making decisions based on gut feelings or intuitions. Link here.

It is a point worth emphasis, so I am linking a post by Reid Carr. In it Carr offers the most useful corrective to any tendency to go with your gut: hard work. Link here.

An executive must keep informed, keep alert, and keep connected with others. In that way, when he has to make a quick decision he will not have to rely on his gut feeling.
