The European Financial Crisis Explained

It would be a serious understatement to say that the current European financial crisis is difficult to understand.

Most people get dizzy trying to get a handle at what is going on in Greece, in Spain, in Portugal, in Ireland, and in the European Central Bank.

To say the least, I am not qualified to shed very much light into the darkness, but I am happy to report that Walter Russell Mead has written a column that explains the problems as clearly and cogently as anything I have read.

It’s well worth a read.

  1. I've taken to reading Bruce Krasting regarding the Europe mess.

Apparently, a rumor is now swirling that banknotes are going to be stamped with the country of origin.

It's a fun blog to read if you like to read such financial blogs.
