Once-Great Britain Bans Skirts for Schoolgirls

Once-Great Britain is going stark raving mad. The wimpy mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has given protesters permission to fly an insulting Donald Trump float over Parliament to welcome the American president to his city.

For those who are constantly (and correctly) complaining about Trump’s lack of decorum, and about his disrespecting nations that used to be close allies, this gesture, from the city of London shows that indecorously rude behavior has infested Once-Great Britain.

As if that is not bad enough, Once-Great Britain has jumped the proverbial shark over transgenderism. A month ago, a private secondary school banned boys from wearing shorts because they were insufficiently gender neutral. The reasoning is obviously unintelligible.

Now, dozens of private schools have banned girls from wearing skirts. You see, skirts represent discrimination against the transgendered. Say what?

You can’t make this stuff up. This from the Zero Hedge blog (via Maggie’s Farm):

One month after a private secondary school in England banned its male students from wearing shorts during the summer - instead requesting that they wear a more "gender neutral" ensemble that includes a skirt, dozens of private schools have taken up the banner of intersectional feminism and banned their female students from wearing skirts as part of their uniforms.

The reason? Because the "growing" number of transgender students at these schools aren't comfortable with traditional "gendered" uniforms, according to RT. Instead, secondary schools like the Priory School in Lewes, East Sussex, are asking female students to "accommodate" their transgender peers by wearing trousers, just like male students do.

"We have a small but increasing number of transgender students and therefore having the same uniform is important for them,"said Headteacher Tony Smith. However, some parents have chafed at the fact that they weren't consulted about the ban, and others have argued that female students should still have the option of wearing a skirt, according to RT.

The best comment appeared in a tweet. We already had the war against boys. Now we have the boys against girls. Will the nonsense never cease.

Just read that schools are banning skirts to encourage a gender neutral uniform. I’m sorry, but this is stopping girls from being girls. That’s not being neutral that’s like a ban in identity. Bloody ridiculous. How on earth has British society reached this point?

  1. I think China has a lot of Red Guard uniforms that they no longer need and Britain can probably get a good price on them.

  4. This is probably not a problem in Scotland and Ireland, where it is socially acceptable for men and women, boys and girls, to wear kilts. Problem solved. I wear a MacDonald kilt on formal occasions, and it is, without question, the most comfortable (and dignifying) article of clothing I own.

  5. They want everyone to look neuter. Children don't usually like to look neuter. They will find other ways to signal, and the authorities might not like them.

  6. And all this is under a Conservative government. Can you imagine how much more unhinged it will be once Labor comes back into power?
