The Wit and Wisdom of Kamala Harris

A little humor to start your day. What other purpose does Vice President Kamala Harris serve?

Anyway, we can count on Harris to say stupid things, to speak incoherently, to be barely intelligible, and to insult the intelligence of her audience.

On those scores Harris does not disappoint. On Monday she spoke at Florida International University in Miami, Florida on the subject of “Climate Resilience.”

As you know, resilience is an important concept in the psycho field these days. Justly so. We have reported on the many studies that have demonstrated the healing power of resilience. That means, in the psycho world, that most of the people who have been traumatized as children get over it without any therapeutic intervention.

Considering that most therapy has a bad track record, it counts as good news.

If Harris had any idea of what she was saying, she would have seen that the concept of climate resilience suggests that the climate will heal itself without any therapeutic intervention.

Naturally, since her speech was all about doing something, anything right away, the truth is, she had no idea of what she was saying. It is not new.

And then we had the thrill of listening to her incoherent rambling, this time, presumably, off of a teleprompter.

She said:

Consider: Heat waves pose a greater threat to people who don’t have air conditioning or who work in high-heat workplaces, such as warehouses or farm fields.

Did you know that? Could you ever have imagined such a thing? Or, did you know this?

We can move clean energy from where it is created to where it is needed. It is literally about the transportation of energy ... How exciting is that!

One understands that Harris was speaking to college students, so perhaps they are all worthy of being talked down to.

She added, in direct contradiction of her mumblings about resilience:

While we send our prayers, and our love, we also, with each day, renew our commitment to the urgency of now and the ability that we have collectively, all of us in it together, to do something about it.

Consider it your entertainment for today.

  1. Considering her proximity to the presidency, as someone else once said, “We are not amused.”
