First, I have occasionally quoted sensible and honest Democrats in these pages. Among them is Van Jones. He is honorable and is certainly not an aspiring flack.
Now, as you have surely heard Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson have written a book detailing Joe Biden’s cognitive deficiencies. One notes that said Tapper was defending Biden to the death during previous campaigns.
To it all Van Jones offered this remark:
That wasn’t the first time he was in that condition. The book makes it very, very clear there are people who knew and said nothing. And that is a crime against this republic. I think the Democrats are going to pay for a long time for being a part of what is now being revealed to be a massive cover-up.
And this before we learned that Biden has been suffering for years from advanced prostate cancer. Yet another lie and cover-up.
Second, on the Muslim migrant front, France has always led the way in opening its doors to the group. The result-- a crime wave and a sense that women in particular are no longer safe walking the streets of France.
Remix News has the story, though, at first they suggest that the problem is drug trafficking:
Due to France’s drug trafficking crisis, a large majority of French are in favor of the army being deployed into disadvantaged neighborhoods in problematic neighborhoods in France, including 80 percent of women.
And also,
As Remix News has reported, France has seen an incredible 86 percent increase in sexual violence in the last 10 years, with mass immigration fueling this trend.
Third, the highly esteemed Julie Burchill writes that becoming trans is quite the rage among the celebrity nepo children. She remarks on the case of Robert de Niro’s son, now daughter, Airyn:
Airyn will surely be the beau / belle of the next Nepo Baby Come As Your Authentic Self Ball, outshining the nonbinary / trans / genderfluid cohort spawn of Sting, Cher, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jennifer Lopez, Warren Beatty, Charlize Theron, Naomi Watts, Rosie O’Donnell, Sigourney Weaver and Cynthia Nixon, among others. They’ve all seemed very happy with spawning such useful members of society – or useful to journalists, at least.
Naturally, we want to know why this is happening. Is it something in the water in Hollywood, or is there a deeper cause:
In the Telegraph, Nicole Lampert writes that the reasons celebrity kids transition are ‘of course, deeply personal and complex. But some say the choices may also be linked to the particularly strange positions they inhabit as the progeny of the rich and famous.’
Lampert goes on to quote the very perceptive-seeming Sascha Bailey, son of photographer David, who says nepo babies are particularly prone to sex-switching because: ‘By becoming trans, you can break out of the predefined role you were born into and create a new space for yourself.’ His own experience is intriguing.
In an unhappy marriage, he was about to have the op when he met a new woman, fell in love and decided to stay a man after all. What a unique and extreme compliment!
Better yet, many of these nepo babies are simply spoiled brats:
The piece also quotes James Esses, psychotherapist and founder of campaign group Just Therapy, who says the children of celebrities have ‘the luxury of time and money to indulge in a never-ending fixation on their self-identity’, arguing the phenomenon is almost uniquely the preserve of the world’s most privileged societies. ‘There is a reason why swathes of children from war-torn regions or facing abject poverty are not coming out as trans’, he says. ‘It’s because they have more pressing issues to focus their time and attention on rather than their self-image and self-identity. The children of celebrities, who have safety and security in abundance, have the luxury of being able to engage in endless navel-gazing.’
What’s more, as Esses also points out, ‘We know that “coming out” as “trans’’ is often met with celebration and positive reinforcement, and with celebrity culture, these things are on steroids’. All the parents who’ve produced famously gender-flexible offspring do indeed seem proud.
Jim becomes Jeannie and Mom and Dad are bursting with pride.
Clearly, some people have too much money.
Fourth, a recent poll tells us that President Trump’s approval ratings are improving. Perhaps it shows us that acting presidential and doing the government’s business is a good thing for a politician.
Newsmax reports:
President Donald Trump's approval rating surged to 54.6% in the aftermath of his trip to the Middle East, according to a new poll released by Insider Advantage on Tuesday.
Nearly a third of Democrats (28.4%) surveyed said they approved of Trump's performance, while 47.9% of independents approved vs. 51.1% who said they disapprove, according to the results.
Fifth, meanwhile Democrats are working feverishly to erase the Biden story from everyone’s minds. The latest idea is that since poor Joe Biden has been suffering from prostate cancer for around ten years, and since the cancer has now metastasized, we should all show some respect and pray for his recovery, while ignoring the lie we have been told.
As we would expect Glenn Greenwald has an astute comment:
This headline is exactly right: the scandal about the years-long cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline is not about Biden's actions, but the actions of Democrats and their media allies who brazenly lied to the public to try to help him win the 2024 election. That's what makes it so intensely repulsive for Hakeem Jeffries and David Axelrod to demand everyone stop talking about this due to Biden's health. They're not protecting Biden, as they pretend. They're exploiting Biden's cancer to protect themselves:
And Greenwald has this to say also:
Their main problem is they can't explain why Americans who aren't paid to follow politics clearly saw for years Biden's cognitive decline, but somehow Dems and media allies with the greatest access, and whose job it is to know such things, were the only ones who couldn't see it.
