The Trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

A great deal has been written about Attorney General Holder's decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other 9/11 conspirators in Federal Court in New York. Most observers, myself included, are appalled and horrified by the decision.

Be that as it may, the most intelligent analysis of the situation comes to us from George Friedman at Stratfor.com. Link here.

You may or may not know about Friedman or Stratfor, but, if so, you are in for a treat. In the midst of the general hubbub and furor surrounding the decision, it is worthwhile to read through a thoughtful and dispassionate analysis.
