Who Should Apologize for the Financial Crisis? Part 2

A couple of days ago I offered my own, not very original, views of who bears the greatest responsibility for the financial crisis that nearly destroyed the banking system in 2008. Link here.

Today the Wall Street Journal offers a concurring opinion, emphasizing the role that government officials and agencies played in the crisis. Link here.

And the Journal takes it one step further. It asserts that the very purpose of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission is to absolve government officials of most of the blame and responsibility, the better to shift it to Wall Street bankers.

The point is well worth our attention.
