Suicide Among the Transgendered

The only surprise here is why anyone would be surprised. The statistics about transgenderism have been around for a long time now. No one cares. We ought to know, for example, that around three quarters of children who identify as transgender change their minds upon reaching puberty. Activists have wanted to solve the problem by providing puberty blocking hormones. As Camille Paglia once said, it’s a sign of cultural collapse.

Today’s batch of statistics concerns transgender suicides. Apparently, a new peer reviewed article shows, 50% of the females who identify as male attempt suicide. That’s, one half. Among boys who identify as girls, the number is around 30%.

Don’t you think, Kelsey Harkness writes for The Daily Signal (via Maggie’s Farm) that this is a problem. It is especially a problem, she adds, when cultural pressures are persuading more and more children that they are transgender or gender non-conforming. Is this a new form of child sacrifice, sacrificing children to the gods of gender nonconformity.

Harkness writes:

One in every two transgender adolescents who are born female but identify as male has attempted suicide in the past year, according to a new study.

The study, “Transgender Adolescent Suicide Behavior,” was published in Pediatrics, the official peer-reviewed journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

It raises serious questions about how families, schools, doctors, government, and the media should grapple with the increasing number of children and teens who self-identify as transgender.

In addition to the alarmingly high rate of suicide attempts among transgender boys, the study reported an attempted-suicide rate of over 40 percent for adolescents who identify as gender nonconforming (neither exclusively male or female) and nearly 30 percent for transgender girls (children and teens who were born male but identify as female).

Of course, transgender activists believe that they have isolated the cause of this carnage: bigotry. If only these children were accepted for being what they think they are, they would not be driven to commit suicide.

Russell Toomey, lead researcher on the project, draws the only conclusion that will allow him to keep his job:

Largely, my research has examined these relationships with explicit attention to the minority-specific stressors of prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination that contribute to the disparate rates of negative outcomes experienced by sexual and gender diverse adolescents and Latinx youth, and the protective factors (e.g., family support, acceptance) that buffer these associations.

For your edification, Harkness adds:

“Latinx” is a gender-neutral term that some use instead of Latino or Latina.

Harkness draws the only sensible solution:

Because if being transgender poses such a grave risk to adolescent lives, it’s hard to understand why any sane society would embrace the trend.

That is, our society has lost its collective mind.

My take on the basis of transgender anxiety and suicides ----

Somewhere along the line in early childhood a boy perceives his environment as unsafe. All humans really ever want is the peace of mind that comes from feeling safe. So, for what ever reason our young lad perceives that he is unsafe and he sees that girls (sisters, other female family, schoolmates, media images etc.) are treated with deference and are kept safe.

So, the mental illness takes full flight and the boy decides its safer to be a girl. Now, it is not JUST being a "girl" but being a girl who can attract and keep an alpha male protector.

Now there is a lot of stress because of not fitting in and the overt and covert shaming.

So, here is the unresolvable dilemma - the shemale desires an alpha male "mate" and protector (and sugar daddy) but the only males that are usually available to them are overtly gay guys who do not fit the bill for a manly man protector. Its hardly ever going to happen. And as time goes on, our shemale starts losing looks and the picture gets dimmer and dimmer.

Add to all that, there is often the necessity for turning to prostitution to pay for all the medical processes involved with sex change. And rarely is there an alpha to pick up the bill.

So a basic distrust in the safety in the world and the realization that the man of their dreams is never really coming can lead to real despair and suicide.

The concept 'Safety in numbers' comment is interesting. But it also implies that Civilization itself is Transgender while a lone wilderness survivor is the true alpha male. It reminds me of the Pope in his girly robes and a herd of people surrounding him seeking words of comfort and wisdom.

We're going to look back at this transgender fad as a very, very bad idea. This is the civil rights frontier we should not have pursued. This is a devastating psychological problem, not an immutable characteristic deserving legal sanction/protection.

Also important to remember that a lot of teenagers were suicidal long before they 'realized' that they were trans - and transitioning allows a person to commit a social suicide. The person who they used to be, the self they loathed, is gone.

When they switch genders the trans teen gets a new name, new haircut, new wardrobe, new pronouns, plus a brand new 'woke' identity that makes their peers at school much much more friendly than they were before (NOBODY wants to be labeled as 'transphobic'). Their old self is dead and gone.
