Putting an End to Transmania

There’s disinformation; there’s misinformation; and then there are bald-faced lies.

Former president Biden is horrified to think that social media platforms, like Facebook, are no longer playing along with official lies.

Take the simplest lie. That Joe Biden has been completely compos mentis during his presidency.  The people who were trafficking in this lie knew that it was a lie. They kept the truth to themselves. Thereby, they undermined their own credibility, to the point where some of them still refuse to say that they were lying.

And then there is the lie to end all lies. Namely, that whatever your biological makeup, whatever the nature of your chromosomes, you can change your sex by changing your mind. The proponents of this piece of misinformation have even invented a new concept, the concept of gender to describe your mind’s selection of your sex.

Better yet, in order to enforce this lie, the transgendered insist that everyone treat them exactly as they would treat someone who was a natural-born man or woman. That includes using a new set of names and a new group of pronouns. If you fail to adhere to this form of tyranny you will find yourself canceled.

Worse yet, in many instances, government policy affirms the gender identity of transgendered individuals. President Trump has now signed an executive order correcting the policies instituted by the Biden administration. Look at it this way: no more transgendered in the military.

The reason is simple, according to the order:

If federal policies promote such an obvious falsehood that men can become women, the government will forfeit all credibility. The government must maintain a commitment to recognizing biological reality to maintain the trust of the American people.

Evidently, those who promote the trans agenda have no use for reality. They have no use for reality checks. They are working on belief systems, and asserting that if you believe it to be true, it is true, regardless of what reality has to say. This would put an end to empirical reasoning.

Within this framework it does not matter whether you are right or wrong. What matters is whether you can convince other people to believe what you believe. As is the case with transgenderism itself, we are in the realm of delusional belief.

As for the scope of the Trump executive order, Emily Yoffe explains:

Namely, he would end policies such as allowing males on women’s sports teams and in women’s locker rooms, and the housing of male prisoners who identify as transwomen in federal prisons for female offenders.

• All radical gender ideology guidance, communication, policies, and forms are removed.

• Agencies will cease pretending that men can be women and women can be men when enforcing laws that protect against sex discrimination.

• “Woman” means an “adult human female.”

• The Executive Order directs that Government identification like passports and personnel records will reflect biological reality and not self-assessed gender identity.

If that is not enough, consider these elements of the order:

• The Executive Order ends the practice of housing men in women’s prisons and taxpayer funded “transition” for male prisoners.

• The Executive Order ends the forced recitation of “preferred pronouns” and protects Americans’ First Amendment and statutory rights to recognize the biological and binary nature of sex.

United States passports—which since 2022 have allowed citizens to choose “X” as their gender—will revert to offering exclusively male and female options, with the proviso that what people select must “reflect biological reality and not self-assessed gender identity.”

The executive order also “ends the forced recitation of ‘preferred pronouns’ and protects Americans’ First Amendment and statutory rights to recognize the biological and binary nature of sex.” 

Good-bye preferred pronouns. Good-bye mutilating the language, Unfortunately, nothing about the order attacks what is absurdly called “gender-affirming care.” At the least, we expect that the proponents of this monstrosity, beginning with Richard Levine will quickly be relieved of their government jobs.

Clearly, reality has returned. Sanity has returned. The important point is that the executive order shows the extent to which transmania had infested the American government during the Biden years.
