Success in Iran

President Trump has succeeded in seriously damaging the Iranian nuclear program. All patriots are cheering.

No one thinks that this was the end of the story, but the fact remains that Iran was seriously set back in its efforts to develop nuclear weapons.

And yet, we have not been surprised that the unpatriotic left is up in arms about it all. Whether Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or even Thomas Massie, the chickenshit brigade is seriously worried about what might come next.

AOC thinks that Trump should be impeached. Thus, if I may put it this way, she has managed to continue to do stupid things, putting both of her feet in her mouth. When the nation achieves military success it is good to support it. It is bad to try to undermine it.

If you were wondering why the Democratic Party is crippled as a political force, these responses show why.

One keeps firmly in mind that the administration informed Congressional Republicans of the action and did not inform Democrats. This tells us that AOC and Jasmine Crockett and company are not true patriots. They are not trustworthy and loyal but are consumed by their hatred of Trump. If they had had an opportunity to undermine the operation they would undoubtedly have done so.

It’s easy to say that they are suffering from Trump derangement syndrome, a presumed mental health condition. But, it is more important to see that they are a disloyal opposition, and that their rage against Trump is a rage against democracy.

Worse yet, and as a corollary, the successful operation Midnight Hammer made Democrats look bad. Compare it to the failed Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan. Compare it to those American presidents who were working to find a way to allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon-- diplomatically.

Dare we add that foreign leaders whose armed forces could never have done what the American Air Force accomplished are whining about the importance of diplomacy. That means, they are lobbying the world for their own self-importance.

Never underestimate the shame that befalls those who are forced to watch others accomplish what they could not accomplish.

Those who could never have done as much will be all over the airways explaining that what appears to be a great success was not a success at all. They will tell the world that bad things are going to happen from the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

They are simply rationalizing their own failures.

If things turn out well, they will immediately change the subject and start ranting about the price of eggs.

No surprise, you could see Trump champing at the bit on Friday. TDS is so central to Democratic politics that even candidates for local office in NYC are running anti-Trump (and Musk) ads.
