Over the years Pearson has developed a following by writing a chess blog. Now, he is branching out, and has just launched a new reality blog. The first post is entitled: "There Are No Solutions."
In it he makes a great point: politicians cynically overuse the term: "solutions." As he puts it, chess problems, or other mathematical problems have solutions. To pretend that poverty and other social problems have "solutions" is to mistake reality for a mathematical problem. I agree wholeheartedly with his point, and recommend it to your attention.
