The media were "all in" for Obama, and "all OUT" for Trump. Bouquets for Obama, and Cudgels for Trump.

Perhaps with American cooperation, there may yet be a local solution.
Echoing Sam, Obama was the media messiah and the white guilt redeemer; the very emblem of boomer self-congratulation. He was the kid you voted for class president because he was black and you wanted to show how not-racist your school was. Who cares if he's a lightweight, he's reparations. Obama said Iran was not the problem, media went along. Obama turned on Israel, media went along. Obama turned the whole intelligence apparatus loose on his political opponent, media participates.
Obama had no idea what to do it in Syria, so he gave calm speeches. He had no plan, and neither did the morons who ran his foreign policy. So we got hitched to the Kurds. Trump is Palmerston in comparison to the choom-king.
I suggest Trump offer a plan to allow US citizens to volunteer to fight alongside the Syrian Kurds, like the Lincoln Brigades did. Let's see how many takers we get? Think any children of outraged media and political class sign up?
