Believe Some Women

Obviously, Susan Faludi is not the brightest bulb in the track lighting. This does not manage to keep her out of the New York Times, with an op-ed questioning Tara Reade’s account of being sexually assaulted by Joe Biden. As we have noted over and over again, and as Faludi is obviously not bright enough to notice, Biden’s public hair sniffing is a good hint that the Reade story is true.

Anyway, here is Faludi’s twisted reasoning-- if you want to call it reasoning:

A woman, with no corroboration beyond contemporaneous accounts, charges a powerful man with a decades-old crime? Hmm, doesn’t that sound mighty close to Christine Blasey Ford’s complaint against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh? Yet this time, many liberals who’ve championed the #MeToo movement seem skeptical?

Speaking of nonsense. When it comes to accusations of long ago sexual assault, contemporaneous accounts are the gold standard. Reade has brought forward a number of them. As it happened, Christine Blasey Ford had no contemporaneous corroboration of her accusation against Brett Kavanaugh. So, the cheap analogy fails on several grounds.

Then, Faludi goes on to complain-- because that is mostly what she knows how to do-- that the conservative intelligentsia are falsely accusing hypocritical feminists of having said that we should believe all women. Aha, Faludi says, feminists never said that we should believe all women. They said that we should believe women. Actually, adding an “all” to the phrase does not change very much semantically.

But then again, why would anyone have ever suggested the feminists want us to believe all women? The feminist and the leftist default has always been to believe women who accuse conservative Republicans but to disparage and to destroy women who accuse liberal democrats. It’s positively Clintonian. We can thank the nation’s leading enabler of sexual harassment, Hillary Clinton, for that one.

I believe women. Just not "all" women. Some women - like Susan Faludi, for example - are cheap gynogrifters.

If it's in the NYT, I don't believe it. I despise, detest, and distrust the NYT. (The WaPoo, too.) As I keep saying, I don't know if the media is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dem Party, or if it's the other way round, but I do know they're in cahoots.
