"Burn It Down"

You would have thought that the raging radical left would have found a measure of serenity now that Joe Biden is in charge. As it happens, bad habits die hard, and many Antifa fascists still want to destroy the country. They are fomenting violence, committing arson, harassing citizens and attacking government buildings. The latter actions count as an insurrection, of course.

It has been happening in woke Portland and even in Washington, D. C. While the nation’s Capitol is being guarded by the National Guard, the local police have the unenviable task of controlling the leftist activists who are trying to destroy the city. If not destroy the city, making everyday life intolerable.

No kidding.

Anyway, no one is really reporting the story, because it doesn’t make Trump and Republicans look bad. So, we turn to The Epoch Times, via Maggie’s Farm:

Black Lives Matter protesters and Antifa agitators marched through Washington D.C. on Saturday and threatened people as they ate dinner, according to video footage and reports.

“Burn it down” is what the demonstrators said. “We are here tonight because black lives matter,” members of the far-left group also said. “Despite black lives mattering, black people are still dying at the hands of the police paid for by our tax dollars.”

Other video footage uploaded by independent journalists on the scene showed Antifa types fighting with police officers, who were trying to keep them away from restaurants. Some, who were clad in all black, could be seen holding the red-and-black Antifa flag.

At one point, police in D.C. were seen forming lines around outdoor diners to separate them from the demonstrator and agitators.

Some serious thinkers in the Washington Post believe that the persistence of violent protests, especially on the West Coast, means that the Democratic Party has split into factions. Yet, this implies that violent leftist radicals belong to the Democratic Party.

Anyway, these leftists are doing what they are doing, because they are persuaded that it helped rid the country of the Trump presidency. And also, to be fair, it’s probably all that they know how to do.

As I understand it, most of the black lives shot were shot by other black lives.

Instead of "radical left" could we instead say "pseudo left?"

My worldview is left. I'm not even close to center. But I don't even recognize this mass hysteria that you're calling "left."

As for blaming Donald Trump I think we can say that this new pseudo left, like the alt-right, wasn't so much a problem until 2016. Donald Trump formented both. How? He brought the national dialogue down to his level and people on all sides of the spectrum lost their minds.

You understand correctly, Sam L.

Hmmm, those supporting BLM and Antifa are calling for more government, more spending, more programs, none of which will solve any problem, especially black people shooting each other. How does allowing these groups to burn/destroy productive, privately owned businesses help anyone, advance any cause? Sounds like, if not radical left, at least real left to me.

Trump is certainly no great statesman nor orator. He certainly spoke a plain language everyone I know appreciated, not the doubletalk you normally get out of DC. Yes, they are all conservatives, working people trying to pay bills and raise responsible children who don't believe the world owes them a living.

Alt-right a problem? As in, what? Except possibly, possibly, for Charlottesville, and that's questionable, where's the rioting, burning, and looting by any right or so-called right wing organization? Like the list of Donald Trump's illegal activities as President, none is ever provivded by the claimant.
