The Feminist Snow Job

Forget all the theorizing. If you want to see feminist ideology in action move to Sweden. You know, to the rape capital of the Western world, the place where multiculturalists opened their nation to men who apparently believe that raping Swedish women is their Allah-given right. And where Swedish feminists are trying to re-educate the rapists. Because punishment is inhumane.

Anyway, Sweden is run by feminists. And Swedish feminists do not seem to care much about the rapes of Swedish women. They are fighting the good fight against sexism. And Muslim rapists are not sexist; they are Muslim. Got it?

When last we checked Swedish feminists were forcing boys in public schools to pee sitting down. Link here. You see, girls do not pee standing up, so peeing standing up is sexist. Thus, schoolboys must now pee sitting down.

As if that were not bad enough, now the ruling Swedish feminists, in conjunction with the Green Party has changed the rules about snow removal. These great minds discovered that when local authorities in Stockholm plowed main thoroughfares first they were plowing streets that were most used for commerce and industry, thus by men. Thus, they decided to strike a blow against this flagrant sexism and to focus their efforts on the side streets that were most often used by women.

Guess what happened?

In a story that smacks of The Onion—you can’t make this stuff up— the Heat St. blog reports (via Maggie's Farm):

A “feminist” strategy for clearing the roads of snow in Stockholm ended in failure as the city ground to a halt in recent days.

A new system, suggested by progressive politicians in the Swedish city, tore up tried and tested snow plow routes and diverted them to areas said to be used more by women.

Public transport failed, traffic piled up and injuries requiring a hospital visit reportedly spiked….

The “gender equal” strategy came in last year after politicians in the Swedish Green Party argued that the old way of clearing major roads in central areas favours men, who are more likely to work in the city, and get there by car.

Instead, the plows were sent to clear out sidewalks and cycle paths – on the basis that women walk and bike often. They also focused on areas like kindergartens, which children and parents visit in the morning.

Unfortunately, the theory did little to save Stockholm when a bumper snowfall hit at the end of last week.

Indeed, almost a week later buses are still struggling to run, and some 1,700 public transport passengers are planning to sue.

Progressive politicians have gone on the defensive, with the MP who suggested it claiming that the snow plows hadn’t executed the “gender-equal” plan properly.

Despite efforts to defend it, the plan has become a laughing stock.

Even liberal publications like Stockholm’s Dagens Nyheter published  this mocking listicle of “9 alternatives to feminist snow removal”, including Satanic snow removal (“melt the snow with burning crosses”) and Neoliberal snow removal (“the invisible hand of the market will move it”).

Tell me that that does not brighten your day!

It does brighten my day, Schneiderman! I'm always delighted to watch the slo-mo collapse of demasculated EUnik-run Europe, where the curvature of cucumbers was viewed as something requiring regulation.

Anyway, this Berra-esque observation gets it right, particularly with respect to feminist "theory":

"In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is."
