The Iranian Navy Stands Down

In news from the Middle East, it appears that the Trump administration policy toward Iran and the Obama Iran Nuclear Deal has produced a positive reaction. The Iranian Navy has stopped harassing U. S. Navy ships in the Persian Gulf. At the least, the Iranians have figured out that they are no longer dealing with the feckless and pusillanimous Obama administration.

The Iranian military has halted the routine harassment by its armed “fast boats” of U.S. naval vessels in the Persian Gulf, the U.S. military said, a turnabout that officials welcomed but were at a loss to explain.

The boats for at least two years would dart toward the U.S. vessels as they passed through the Persian Gulf, risking miscalculation, but haven’t done so for five months, U.S. military officials said.

The officials said they hoped the respite would continue. “I hope it’s because we have messaged our readiness…and that it isn’t tolerable or how professional militaries operate,” Army Gen. Joseph Votel, who heads U.S. Central Command, told reporters traveling with him in the Middle East this week. Iranian officials didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Recognized the danger of their actions, I suspect. Prefer NOT to be shot at, and hit.

Gathering data on people's behavior is good, although I'd be careful about coming up with any specific conclusions of what short term data changes mean.

On the war against radical Islam, I see the NYPost says Trump apologized for retweeting a an anti-muslim video but I don't quite see an apology. I see someone admitting he's ignorant, and tweets things he thinks agrees with, without checking the facts first.

“Here’s what’s fair, if you’re telling me they’re horrible people, horrible racist people, I would certainly apologize if you would like me to do that,” Trump said.

“I know nothing about them. I don’t want to be involved with [these] people, but you’re telling me about these people because I know nothing about these people.”

I have to say I'd choose "pusillanimous Obama" every day over someone who can't separate his emotions from reality.

AO, your comments leave me wondering whether you're a libtard tool or just have no experience in how people talk in real life.

jack Fisher,

There is a time when some people reach a point where they have just enough education that they are dangerous to themselves and to humanity as a whole. I would like to think that most people get past it, but sadly, AO reached that point a long time ago and is still in that rut he has created for himself.
