Dershowitz: Where's the Crime?

Let's try a little perspective on the latest round of Trump/Russia scandals.

For your edification I post an interview from Tucker Carlson tonight. On last night's show emeritus Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz offering his legal analysis of the ongoing investigation of the Trump/Russia connection.

Speaking as a lifelong liberal Democrat and proponent of civil rights, Dershowitz is especially concerned about the the absurdities and borderline illegalities in the rush to indict and impeach Donald Trump. He knows the law and he knows American history. He also knows that once you open this door, you are giving your opponents permission to return the favor. Apparently, media commentators and Democratic politicians do not. As the interview shows, Tucker Carlson was gobsmacked at the simple question: Where's the crime?

Indeed, we should have a special counsel to investigate Valerie Jarrett's ties to Iran and how members of the Choom Gang benefitted from federal contracts and the relaxing of marijuana prosecutions. The Chooms are probably tied to the Chinese government. I don't need to give you proof of these allegations. I just made them up, so they're true. After all, Romney was supposed to win in 2012, and he didn't. That's not just implausible, it's unfair. I'm sure there are mainstream media outlets who will take the story and find anonymous sources to corroborate it. It's too late to get Obama out of office, but it's not too late to convict him of treason and corruption. We must destroy our political enemies, especially when we don't like them. Obama is stuck up and arrogant. Isn't that enough? We have to stop him. Maybe we can find a federal judge we like in some Circuit to reverse all his executive orders. And let's go after James Clapper... he's a bad guy, too. And Michelle Obama tried to starve America's children with her yogurt and Brussels sprouts. So much evil. We have to do something!

Saw this on Tucker last night and was impressed by Dershowitz's impartiality when it comes to civil liberities. More than ever, there's no there there.
