One is happy to see the New Neo leading the way on this one. Trying to plumb the depths of the mind of Joe Biden feels like the most thankless of thankless tasks. Almost as thankless, one might say, as trying to access the seriously diminished mind of Kamala Harris.
Anyway, Biden never was very bright. He was charming and forceful; and that, apparently, along with the hair plugs, has sufficed to build him a career in politics. Given the propensities of the eunuchs who run today’s media, it has allowed him and his family to get away with unprecedented levels of corruption.
Anyway, Biden’s polling has improved, what with the rally around the flag effect. Those who still believe that Republicans are the horror of horrors are applauding his handling of the situation in Ukraine. Innocent people are being murdered every day. That nation is being systematically destroyed.
True enough, Putin’s plans seem largely to have come a cropper, but no one can seriously argue the point that this is happening on Biden’s watch and under his aegis. Surely, the fact that he has prided himself on projecting weakness gave Putin the opportunity to take over Ukraine. Just as Obama’s weakness offered Putin Crimea.
Is there a logic to Biden’s incoherence? True enough, the man cannot articulate a sentence without falling all over the vowels and the consonants, but he is still apparently making decisions.
The New Neo has boiled it down to three basic principles. So, here you have it, the mind of Joe Biden:
(1) Whatever Trump did, do the opposite. This was in part reflexive and in part spiteful.
(2) Whatever Obama did, do more of it and go that extra mile.
(3) Virtue-signal to your leftist base and give them what they want, or you will lose them.
As it happens, she is certainly right. Naturally it makes Biden look like a complete fool, but, how is it possible that you did not know that. So, Biden is the anti-Trump. He is the second coming of Obama. And he has decided to suck up to his radical leftist base, especially by shutting down energy production.
Now, to fulfill the terms of his virtue signaling he is refusing to use American or Canadian oil, but prefers to grovel at the feet of Venezuela and to sell out our nation and to destabilize the Middle East, by negotiating a pathetically weak nuclear deal with Iran.
So, now in Vienna, the Biden negotiating team-- what is left of it, since several of its leading figures have resigned, for fear of having their names affixed to a world historical sellout-- under the aegis of Russia, of all countries, is finishing off a negotiation with Iran. From all accounts, the negotiations are going very well for Russia and for Iran.
When it comes to backbone, to strength of character, to fidelity to principle and to a minimal understanding of the balance of power in the world, the Biden team must count as a miserable failure. And, as the old saying goes, the fish rots from the top. Besides, it is a disgraceful manifestation of true weakness.
The New Neo explains:
In addition, we are presently poised on the brink of a reportedly disastrous Iran deal. Why is that happening? The short and probably too-simplified answer is that it fulfills all three of the criteria I listed above. An additional answer is that some people in the Biden administration seem to want to do their best to hurt the US and the western world and empower our enemies, and that this isn’t motivated by stupidity but rather by malevolence.
True enough, the new nuclear deal does fulfill her tripartite description of the Biden brain. Sadly, she is also correct to add the coda, namely that many members of the Biden team are motivated by malevolence, by hatred for America, and, dare I add, by hatred for Israel. Why else would Hamas have chosen to celebrate the arrival of Joe Biden by shooting 4,000 rockets into Israel.
