Today, Ilhan Omar becomes the first member of Congress to wear a hijab. Like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez she represents today's new diverse Democratic Party.

Unfortunately you are right. One is only left shaking their head in amazement. What is with this "Moth" and "Flame" desire exhibited by minorities?

Sadly (and as a member of The Tribe myself), I have to repeat this comment all too often in response to all too many of Stuart's most depressing posts.
Yesterday the likes of Pramila Jayapal, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib swore an oath to defend the Constitution in taking office in the 116th Congress. Does anyone really believe them?
