Nancy Pelosi's Senior Moment

The media is beside itself. The new speaker of the House of Representatives is female. And she is going to lead a band of women, some of whom have decidedly sketchy political backgrounds, in open battle against the president of the United States.

The new House will be all drama all the time.

The media has not been reporting that Nancy Pelosi, when accepting the speaker’s gavel… had a senior moment. In truth, such moments are commonplace for the San Francisco Congresswoman… so perhaps no one notices any more. Good manners prevents the media from pointing out that NP is not all there.

Anyway, Kyle Olson has the story:

“As we take the oath of office today,” Pelosi said, “we accept responsibility as daunting and demanding as any previous generations of leadership have faced.

“Guided by the vision and values of our Founders, the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform,” she continued, “and the aspirations that we have for our children, let us meet that responsibility with wisdom, with courage, and with grace.”

Concluding moments later: “God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.”

Then she announced to herself, “I think I skipped a couple pages. I’m not sure,” on a hot mic.

We will not even speculate about what the media all-stars would have said if Donald Trump or any Republican had had such a senior moment.

Trump should say that, and then say "Just joking. Wanted to see if you were really listening. Here's 20 more pages of this speech."
