Arab Foreign Minister Recognizes Israel's Right to Self-Defense

This should not be overly surprising. Yet, many will find it thus. For the first time an Arab foreign minister, this one from Bahrain, has publicly recognized Israel's right to defend itself. Link here.

I will mention in passing that prior reports, from Debkafile, dutifully posted on this blog, claimed that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia strongly supports any measures that Israel took to crush Iranian forces in Syria and Hezbollah. The reports suggested that Saudi Arabia would help finance any attack.

I think I hear a faint far-away noise. I think it could be Democrats screaming.

Realpolitik is finally coming to the Middle East. And none too soon.
