How is this happening? Why are increasing numbers of girls choosing to become men? According to Abigail Shrier, based on the statistics gathered by researcher Lisa Littman, gender dysphoria is becoming an epidemic-- among young females.
Why do we allow these girls to mutilate themselves? Why do we try to silence anyone who objects to this form of human sacrifice? Is it a new form of misogyny?
Shrier summarizes some of her book in a Wall Street Journal op-ed this morning:
Building on the work of Brown University public health researcher, Lisa Littman, “Irreversible Damage” argues that transgender identification among teen girls has become a social contagion. Girls who might have encouraged each other in bulimia, anorexia or cutting are today deciding they have “gender dysphoria,” pushing for hormones and surgeries—and easily obtaining them.
The numbers are startling: In the nearly 100-year diagnostic history of “gender dysphoria”—severe discomfort in one’s biological sex—the disorder first appeared in early childhood (ages 2 to 4) and overwhelmingly afflicted boys. Today, teen girls with no history of childhood dysphoria are suddenly the leading demographic. From 2016-17, the number of gender surgeries on girls and women in the U.S. quadrupled, with biological females accounting for 70% of all gender surgeries.
Part of the reason this has become an epidemic among teen girls is that, unlike bulimia or anorexia, our culture celebrates girls who medically “transition”—and denigrates or cancels all who point out that this can be a mode of self-harm.
True enough. In some cases, gender dysphoria masks a phobia about being attracted to people of the same sex. It’s homophobia.
And yet, why does it happen that, after five decades of feminism, girls hate being girls, to the point of mutilating their bodies in order to become ersatz boys?

About 20 years ago, the craze was tattoos and tongue piercings. Now they have moved on to chemical and surgical mutilation. I wonder what's next? Oh, I know, and it seems kind of obvious if you think about it.
So where does a good girl from Iowa learn all this stuff? It wasn't in her head last year?
I don't think they have souls, so I'm not sure it matters, but if they do, there is going to be a reckoning for the people who put those ideas in her head.
There is good news. These creatures will not be having children. Whew
Did you ever wonder whether insecure girls were coached to emasculate/denigrate males now want to become that which they were taught to despise? Some kind of syndrome?
Dennis, the problem is they cut their hair just a little too long. If it were a mere half-inch shorter then they could grow a penis naturally.
Another side-benefit of all this; I think men get to beat up women who then transition to men. In theory, it's not hitting a woman, it is hitting a man. I'm not advocating hitting people arbitrarily, just noting this for clarity.
